I’ve created a monster.

I did not intend for this project to be some kind of psychology experiment. Tell me, what do you see in this picture? But now I know what kids I gotta watch my back around.

Mush and Mash Monster Kid Art

  1. Paint and Googly Eyes

  2. Some kind of dispenser tool like a squirt bottle or paint dropper - This helps little artist control the paint volume. This process takes very small amounts of paint. I filled these 12oz squirt bottles full and when we’d made it through 48 students they were still half- full.

  3. Paper - Fold paper in half, open it back up and ad paint dots or lines and designs to one side of the page. Fold the paper again and mush and mash that paint inside like you’ve got nothin’ to lose. Take no prisoners. Peel open and see what kind of symmetrical mush monster you’ve created!
